What it is
NAD+ is nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, a coenzyme found in every living cell. It is not a peptide. It is a dinucleotide: two nucleotides joined through their phosphate groups, one carrying adenine and the other nicotinamide. Cells build it from vitamin B3, and it exists in two forms, the oxidised NAD+ and the reduced NADH, which it moves between as it accepts and gives up electrons. That shuttling is why it appears in the textbook account of how a cell turns fuel into usable energy, including the reactions inside the mitochondria. It is also the substrate that sirtuins and PARP enzymes consume to do their work. In research, NAD+ has been studied in the context of mitochondrial energy metabolism and of cellular ageing. That is the identity of the compound and the territory it is studied in.
What is in the pen
This pen holds NAD+ on its own, nothing blended with it, and it comes in two strengths: 500mg and 1000mg. The format is the same as every pen in the Marbella range: a 3ml cartridge with 12 needles, so only the strength inside sets one apart from the other. 1000mg is the largest figure on any label in the range, and it is worth reading it correctly. The peptides beside it carry far smaller figures on their labels. NAD+ is a different kind of molecule and its figure sits in a different order of magnitude, so neither number means more of the same thing. Each strength carries its own stock, and the strength and stock state shown here are what you order on WhatsApp.
How it is tested
Every product in the range is tested by Janoshik Analytical, an independent laboratory, and the reports are published rather than described. The ones held for this product are linked above, each named by the compound it covers, and every link goes to verify.janoshik.com, the laboratory's own domain, not to a file hosted on this site. That distinction is the whole point: a report on the laboratory's own server is a record a seller cannot edit, while a certificate hosted on a shop's own website is a picture of one. A report is evidence of identity and purity for the sample submitted, and nothing else. If you want to know what has been tested most recently before you order, ask on WhatsApp and you will get a straight answer.
Common questions
- Is NAD+ a peptide?
- No. NAD+ is a coenzyme, a dinucleotide found in every living cell. It sits in the Marbella range beside the peptides because it is sold in the same pen format and ordered the same way, not because it is one of them.
- Can I collect NAD+ in Marbella today?
- When it shows in stock on this page, the stock is held in Marbella and collection in person or delivery along the coast is arranged on WhatsApp, usually the same day. If it shows as sold out here, that is the Marbella stock only: the same product is generally available from the United Kingdom on the same number, and it ships from there instead.
- Is NAD+ the same as NMN or vitamin B3?
- No. Nicotinamide mononucleotide and niacin are precursors that cells use to build NAD+. What is in this pen is NAD+ itself, the finished coenzyme, not a precursor.
